- Mosquitoborne disease contribute significantly to health problems, among these one Dengue Hemorhagic Fever (DHF) which is a major public health problem. The research of larvasidal effication of extract of Sapindus rarak de candole before, known that it’s has (saponin, alkaloid, steroid, terpenoid) effective as larvaside toward larvae of Aedes aegypti, which the research before, way to get substances is difficult and need complex instruments, so difficult to inform and application to the public society. So for this time taken research about larvasidal effication of decoction of Sapindus rarak de candole agains Aedes aegypti. Decoction is got with a simple way. It can get by boiling something in the water, so easy to inform and application to the public society. This research seed to investigate the effectivity of decoction of Sapindus rarak de candole as larvasida toward Aedes aegypti and seed to investigate LD50 of decoction of Sapindus rarak de candole toward larvae of Aedes aegypti. The design used is true experimental– Posttest only Control Group Design. Larvae of Aedes aegypti is used as sample and the dosages tried are 0% (control), 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,3%, 0,4%, 0,5%, 0,6%, 0,7%, 0,8%, 0,9% and 1%. At 1% of Sapindus rarak de candole decoction, a 100% mortality of larvae of Aedes aegypti was found. There was a 96% mortality of larvae at 0,9%, 88% at 0,8%, 78,68% at 0,7%, 70,68% at 0,6%, 65,32% at 0,5%, 53,32% at 0,4%, 34,68% at 0,3%, 21,32% at 0,2%, 12% at 0,1% and 0% at 0% (control). One wayANOVA analysis gave = 0,05. According to theμsignificant result at level P = 0.000, results obtained Sapindus rarak de candole is effective as larvaside toward larvae of Aedes aegypti and LD50 is 0,47%. Following research should examine about the lethal time (LT) of Sapindus rarak de candole agains Aedes aegypti and effectivity of Sapindus rarak de candole toward the others vertebrae.
