- Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district is the main-city of Kotabaru Residence and part of south Kalimantan Province area. Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district development effected the proper transportation system. The existing Passenger Public Transportation system have not reach all region, caused by the public transportation operational still have no fixed-route. So the city region society had difficult in doing their work. It could inhibit the socieyt mobility which caused the region reaching ability. According to the cause, there needed a route planning study of passenger public transportation in Pulau Laut Utara Sub-District Kotabaru Residence which aimed to find out the pople journey, route, and armada fit to the society needs. The pepole journey spread analysis of Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district used uniform method. While the route planned with linear pattern according to the existing condition of way network and land-usage. Armada amount was fitted with the people journey spread pattern with the existing route. From the planning study there found that journey amount by Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district society in 2009 was 84073 journey/day and in 2017 was 109265 journey/day. While public transportation route of the passenger was 5 routes with linear pattern. They were main street for route I 14,75 km from the station – Jl. H.Brigjen Hasan Basri – Jl Jl.M.Alwi – Jl.Vetran – Jl.Pasar Kemakmuran, while for route II was 16 km, route III was 17.49 km, route IV was 17,75 km with 18,05 km where the main street passed route were station – Jl.H.Brigjen Hasan Basri – Jl.M.Alwi – Jl.Vetran – Jl. Burung Walet. Armada amount in 2009 and 2017 were Route I was 14 and 18 unit, route II were 27 and 41 unit, Route III were 27 and 37 unit, Route IV were 22 and 33 unit, and Route V were 31 and 46 unit.
