- The purpose of this research is to describe the condition of plaited mat women (sample) and the number of family that their needs must be fulfilled. Especially in a family which only has one worker to fulfill the family needs. Women as a housewife hopefully can help the family fulfilled their needs. More or less the women s income is very helpful for the family. The population of this research is the entire women worker who makes the plaited mat in the village Sekarbagus which give the contribution to the family s income. The data shown that the number of the plaited mat woman worker is 190. The technique used in this research was random sampling where everyone in the population can be used as sample with the total sample of 60. Types of data used in this research were: 1. Primary data consist of age, education, etc. 2. Secondary data were taken from local literature and institute. The data acquired by interview, observation, documentation, and questioner. Data analysis technique used in this research was descriptive quantitative method. The data used statistic descriptive in the form of distribution frequency table (percentage tabulation). The characteristic of economic social plaited mat woman worker showed their description, such as their education level, most of them are Junior High School graduation. While their husband is farmer and the member of family are 5 mostly. From the data analysis we can see that the monthly income of plaited mat women worker is about Rp. 300. 000,- to Rp. 900. 000,-. 68,33% of them got Rp. 300. 000,- to Rp. 559.000,- and 6, 67% of the got Rp. 300. 000,- also 15% of the got Rp. 900. 000,-. The differences of their income determined by the number of plaited mated produced. From the data analysis showed that the women worker contribution to family s income approximately 623. 833 per month and the percentage were 45, 67% per month. The percentage of women worker s income divided by the number of respondent that was 60 and multiple by 100.
