- This research aims to describe the processes of internalization of jihad doctrine in Al Islam Islamic boarding school (Pesantren) Solokuro Lamongan. Despitefully this research also lay opens internalization process of jihad concepts either by medium or activity designed by pesantren Al Islam. This research is employed qualitative approach. The research subjects are leader of pesantren including managers, ustadz (teacher), as well as santri (Student). Selection of pesantrenAl Islam research setting based on public impression that pesantrens are a hotbed of terrorist, especially Bali boming action in which some of the perpetrator are from pesantren Al Islam Lamongan. Data Is collected thought observation, interview, and documentations. The collected data will then be analyzed using qualitative method The research found that jihad concept as understood at pesantren Al Islam, Lamongan is equivalent with that of perceived by general muslim. However, this research revealed uniqueness in internalization processes which involves formal, informal and nonÂformal internalization.
