It aimed to identify demographic potential and workforce, also to find out whether PDRB and goverment expenditure variables influenced the workforce absorption in East Java 2006. The method used was agesX and pyramid program to find out the society composition based on age and sex, calculating absorbed workforce with Crossection data regression to find out PDRB influence and regional income variables to the workforce absorption. &#xD; AgesX and pyramid program showed that in most of place, woman amount was larger than man in every age group and most of cities in East Java were in stationary pyramid &#xD; group. The calculation with Crossection panel regression showed result that PDRB and goverment expenditure variable to the workforce absorption was positive with t count &#xD; 7,709537 &gt; t table (4,303) for PDRB, and t count 7,931579 &gt; t table (4,303) for goverment expenditure. According to above equation, the writer suggested that investment in each cities should be fitted with existed data so that there were work force absorption.
