  • The research object that is all at once as the problem in this research is how customer legal protection for harmful cosmetic distribution and what attempts that can be carried out by the customer to get legal protection for harmful customer distribution? The method used in this research is by using juridical-sociologic approach method, is that an approach based on prevailed law, whether laws or other regulation and related to existed fact ion the society. Based on result of the research about customer legal protection for harmful cosmetic distribution, it is found that customer legal protection for harmful cosmetic distribution in Indonesia is based on Law of No. 8, 1999 about Customer Protection and Basic Law of No. 23, 1992 about Health and Civil Code, especially in paragraph 1365, 1366 and 1367 about principles of businessman accountability in accordance with the law. Businessman as production producer must warrant that product that they produce is safe to be consumed, guaranteed and qualified. Therefore, if there is a product that causes loss for customer party, businessman must be responsible fully to loss weight that customer experienced. Responsibility form that can be intended to businessman is in the form of replacing a damaged product or giving money as indemnity, medicine cost or giving grief cost. Whereas harmful cosmetic distribution occurred, the customer can submit attempts to legal protection through government institution or customer foundation institution. The effort that can be strived by both of instances or this agency involves an attempt to make peace, administrative, justicial attempts. In striving for justicial by submitting demand used is unaccountability (1243 Civil Code) or behavior that resists the law (1365 Civil Code).
