- This research is based on needs analysis which states that thematic learning does not use media that is able to integrate subjects well and in learning the teacher conveys material or goals, learning methods are very interesting and good, but when teachers do not use the media around them well then the learning that has been delivered is not running optimally with often students who do not understand the material presented so the teacher repeats the material that has been submitted again. Penelti strives to develop effective media namely "Development of EFAS (Fun and Smart Engklek Media) in Thematic Learning in Class 1 Elementary Schools". This type of research conducted in this study is research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research was conducted at SDN Jatimulyo 3 on February 18, 2020 with a total of 27 students. The results of research in the form of quantitative data to determine validity and qualitative data to conclude the data obtained according to research procedures. EFAS Media (Fun and Smart Engklek) the results showed that the acquisition of media validation reached a percentage of 92% with a very good category. The results of the material validation also had a very good percentage with a value of 87.5%. The results of the student response questionnaire had a percentage of 96% which was stated to be very good. This shows that the media developed according to the experts was very feasible to use.
