  • Traffic violations are unresolved issues in Indonesia, one of which is in the city of Malang. Breaking traffic signals is still very often done. There are still many people who do not obey signs that have been given traffic signaling tools that can result in accidents. It is expected that the cctv structuring and the application of e-evidence of violations in the future can reduce the number of violations in Malang. Of course, with stricter sanctions and higher fines against traffic light violators in order to provide a deterrent effect on offenders. This research uses a sociological juridical approach, that is, research which is seen based on the provisions of the prevailing laws and regulations is associated with legal theories and facts found in the field. The research location is Malang City Police with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, documentation, literature studies, research results and discussions. Law enforcement efforts undertaken by the police, especially traffic units are appropriate. However, law enforcement is not necessarily without obstacles. Constraints in enforcing the law related to traffic light violations in Malang are the lack of traffic units and the lack of legal awareness from the public in complying with traffic rules. Conclusions related to traffic lights violations namely the lack of education to the public. In addition, inadequate infrastructure, and sanctions that are still considered lacking in a deterrent effect on violators. It is hoped that the police can improve the process of law enforcement more intensively in order to reduce traffic violations in Malang.
