- Traffic violations are the classic problem in Indonesia, one of which is Malang. The most violations committed is on U-turn prohibited. There are still many people who don't comply about the U-turn prohibited so that it can cause chaotic traffic conditions to congestion and even accidents occur. Hopefully, the harder sanctions against traffic violators can reduce the number of violations. This research using a sociological juridical approach, which is seen based on the provisions of the legislation in force associated with legal theories and facts found in the field. This was conducted in Malang City Police with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, documentation, literature studies, research results and discussions. Prevention of traffic signs violations is U-turn prohibited in the city of Malang, Malang City Police Satlantas take pre-emptive, preventive and repressive actions. The obstacles for handling traffic violations on U-turn prohibited in Malang are the lack of personnel and legal awareness from the public in complying the traffic rules. Conclusions related to traffic signs violations on U-turn prohibited in Malang is still lack of education to the community, personnel and facilities that are inadequate, and sanctions are still less deterrent. The police are expected to be able to increase more intensive outreach to reduce traffic violations. Keywords: Violation, Traffic Signs, Handling
