  • Work life balance is a balanced state of individuals in carrying out the roles they have, both in work and personal life. Job insecurity is individual’spercepception and insecurities about their job. This study aims to determine the effect of job insecurity on work life balance on contract employees. This research is a non-experimental quantitative research and using Purposive Sampling techniques. Data were obtained from 155 respondents using 17 items of work life balance scale and job insecurity questionnaire with 11 items. Data analysis used simple linear regression techniques with the results of job insecurity has a negative effect on work life balance and there is 32.2% varians of work life balance that explained by job insecurity (F value = 72.555, P = 0.000 <0.05). It can be concluded the higher employee job insecurity, the lower the work life balance of the employee.
