- This research aims to describe in detail the implementation and the application of the guided discovery learning model assisted by student worksheet in mathematics learning towards metacognition abilities, and to investigate whether there is an influence of guided discovery learning model assisted by student worksheet in mathematics learning towards metacognition abilities. This type of research is experimental research utilizing quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were VII grade students of SMP Aisyiyah boarding school Malang in the even semester of the academic year 2019/2020 consisting of 2 classes namely VII-A as an experimental class, and VII-B as a control class. The data was taken from observations of teacher and students activities, and written tests. Student’s activity observation sheets were utilized to see the implementation of learning and all student activities during the learning process. Whereas the written test consisted of 5 essay questions in order to find out the students' metacognition abilities. The results showed that: (1) The application of Guided Discovery Learning models assisted by Student Worksheet to the metacognition ability of students implemented very well and efficiently, (2) there is an influence of Guided Discovery Learning models assisted by Student worksheet on metacognition abilities. This can be seen based on the metacognition abilities of students who are given the treatment of the Guided Discovery Learning model assisted by Student Worksheet.
