- Film is one of mass communication tool, its caused by film is a communication tool which uses media to make a Connection between communicator and communicant. In a mass communication context, film is one of media to give a message, either verbal or non verbal message. Generally, the film in title "Surga yang tak Dirindukan" tells about an importance of sincerity which are intertwined between a husband, wife and other people. The expertise that occurs needs a sacrifice. Sacrifice is not only from property, time, and life but also statements and actions that show affection. This research uses a qualitative interpretive research approach while the type of research used is descriptive by using a semiotic analysis method. Based on the data obtained by documentation techniques, the researchers conducted an analysis of Roland Barthes's semiotic theory to uncover the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth. Based on the results of the study, the film with title "Surga yang Tak Dirindukan has many depictions of sacrifice's meaning, that is Sacrifice for the family, sacrifice for life in society, sacrifice for the love of the nation and state, sacrifice for the truth and sacrifice for the love of religion. This sacrifice is shown either from words or actions differences that occur between husband, wife, children, and also to others.
