- Background: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis which can attack various organs especially the lungs. Transmission can be through coughing or sneezing. The prevention of TB regimens are provided in the form of a Fixed Dose Combination (FDC) there are 2 phases namely the intensive phase and the continous phase. FDC intensive phase of category 1 are 2 (HRZE) or 4FDC. Objective: To identify the pattern of FDC intensive phase of category 1 for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis comprising : the dose, route, frequency, and the length of drug therapy. Methods: This study was observational with a retrospective method in FDC intensive phase of pulmonary Tuberculosis patients from January 2018 - December 2018. Results & conclusions: The most use of FDC intensive phase in the 4FDC dosage (1x3 tablets) in 15 patients (65%), 4FDC(1x 2 tablets) in 1 patient (4%), 4KDT (1x4) tablets in 5 patients (22%) %), 4FDC (2x2 tablets) in 2 patients (9%) so, in total there were 23 patients (100%). The use of FDC intensive phase switched with antibiotic drug in 18 patients with the most used switching is antibiotic Cefaperazone sulbactam in 4 patients.
