- Same-sex men are minorities in the midst of heterosexual society. In Indonesia, the same kind of male relationship has gained opposition from society because of strong cultural value as well as religion and belief. With this opposition makes their communication more likely to be closed and confidential. It appears that Hornet social media is specially created for the same gender-loving men. Hornet makes it easy for users to interact and communicate inside. In communicating in Hornet the same-sex male enthusiasts have their own way of communication. This research aims to know the special language and the introduction of the same-sex men who took place in the social media Hornet in Malang City. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the basis of naturalistic research. His theory is uncertainty reduction theory by Charles Barger. Data is obtained through in-depth interviews and documentation to 5 subjects with snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis techniques Use the interactive model Miles & Huberman by using data validity i.e. Data source triangulation. The results of the research can be noted that, the special language used in social media "Hornet" is a language that is only known by fellow enthusiasts who are users of Hornet, because this special language created by users. It is also known that Hornet's user introductions have been formed and structured. The things asked at the beginning of the introduction are always the same and repeated.
