  • Background : Typhoid fever is an acute infectious disease where the cause is due to Salmonella Typhi bacterial infection (Alba, 2016). The third generation of Cephalosporins and Fluoroquinolones has a good penetrating tissue so they can effectively kill bacteria (Yunita, Pramestutie, Divine, & Achmad, 2018). Purpose : This study is to discover the pattern of antibiotics cephalosporins on typhoid fever patient in sidoarjo hospital consisting of dosages, rute of administration, frecuency, and duration of administration antibiotics Method : This observational study employed retrospective method on typhoid fever patient Result and Conclusion : Cephalosporins antibiotic therapy was used singly in 57 patients (85%) and combination in 10 patient (15%). Single Cephalosporins that most commonly used is Ceftriaxon (2×1g)i.v in 41 patients (71%). The most widely used switching pattern is Ceftriaxon (2×1g)i.v to Amoxiclav (3×1,2g)i.v in 3 patients (13%).
