  • Background : Stroke is a nervouse or neurological emergency that occurs as a result of an injury to the system caused by cerebral ischemia or severe bleeding and must be done quickly because the patient will only be effective for a short period of time. Brain due to stroke can cause neurological deficits, so treatment is needed to reduce neurological deficits or decrease brain function by providing neuroprotectants that can help improve brain function that increases priorities and improvements that can be used with membrane fluidity. Objectives : The purpose of this study was to determine the design of Piracetam used in stroke patients who were given a dose, route, rules of use, frequency and duration of administration at the Sidoarjo Regional General Hospital to get the pattern of use of Pirasetam. Methods : This research is observational with retrospective data collection method. Sampling was carried out on ischemic stroke patients who received Pirasetam therapy in Sidoarjo District Hospital January-December 2019. Results And Conclusion : The results of the 28 samples showed that the single use pattern of Pirasetam (4 x 3000 mg) IV was the single most used dose of 6 patients (67%) and the single use of Pirasetam (2 x 3000 mg) IV was 3 patients (33%) . The most widely used pattern of combination therapy is cycline (3 x 500 mg) IV + Pirasetam (4 x 3000 mg) IV, as many as 2 patients (50%), Pirasetam (4 x 3000 mg) IV + cyticolin (3 x 250 mg) ) IV as many as 1 person (25%) and Cyticolin (3 x 250 mg) + Pirasetam (2 x 3000 mg) IV. Whereas the pattern of using single dose Pirasetam with Switching the most was Cyclineolin (3 x 500 mg) IV → Pirasetam (4 x 3000 mg) IV, as many as 8 patients (53%).
