  • Background: Stroke is a neurological disorder that occurs suddenly and lasts more than 24 hours due to blood vessel disorders that can cause death of patients. Stroke can affect parts of the entire body such as paralysis, speech disorders, deficits of cognitive function, and other daily life disorders. Rupture of blood vessels in hemorrhagic stroke caused intracranial pressure in the brain is high so that it can cause herniation and death. To overcome the increase intracranial pressure that occurs then osmotic diuretic therapy is given, namely manitol. Based on some research stating that manitol is effective for reduce intracranial pressure. Objective: A study to find out the pattern of manitol using in hemorrhagic stroke at general hospital of sidoarjo from 1 January – 30 June 2019. Method: Non-experimentally with a descriptive design restrospective taking data on hemorrhagic stroke at general hospital of sidoarjo from 1 January – 30 June 2019. Results and Conclusion: Pattern of using manitol administration 6 times a day with a dose (6x0,3g/KgBB) iv at 7 patients (44%) the use of manitol with tappering off. Long time pattern of using manitol is 6-9 day at 10 patients (63%).
