  • DC brushless motors are permanent magnet motors with good efficiency because there are no power losses. Brushless motors do not need to inject a DC current that passes through a brush or brush current which aims to create magnetic flux. Axial flux permanent magnet motor (AFPM), which has unique characteristics such as high torque density, and excellent efficiency, is very popular for various applications such as electric ships, electric vehicles, because of its compact construction and high power density. As technology develops, brushless DC motors are needed in order to obtain maximum results, such as variations in the geometry of permanent magnets. Testing variations in the geometry of permanent magnets using a rotational speed of 900 rpm and 4 geometries of permanent magnets, namely: geometry of a circle, half circle, square, and trapezoid. The results of testing the maximum value of the linkage flux in the variation of 12 slots 8 pole geometry of trapezoid is 0.5023 Wb. The results of modeling 12 slots 10 pole geometry permanent magnetic circles have the highest torque values of 12.05 N.m. The maximum efficiency value obtained in the variation of 12 slots 8 pole trapezoid geometry slots is 55.29%.
