- This research to analyze and describe students’ thinking prosess of class XI high school students in solving mathematical problems in terms of Keirsey's personality type. The research method used is qualitative with personality tests and tests in solving mathematical problems and interviews as data collection techniques. Analysis of the data in this study by examining indicators, determining answers and describing data for each item. While in the interview the researcher used the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions in the analysis of the data. The results of the study concluded that of the 50 students 32 data were obtained from the guardian type, 9 students from the artisan type, 3 students from the rational type, and 6 students from the idealist type . Each type of personality was selected for each type by 2 students to analyze the results of the answers. There are 4 stages in the process of thinking in solving Polya's problems, namely understanding the problem, preparing a plan, implementing the plan and re-examining the results of the answers. While there are 2 kinds of students' thinking processes, namely the assimilation and accommodation thinking processes.
