  • Mangroves have biotic and abiotic factors in them that are interconnected, due to this connection the mangrove forest called to be an ecosystem. The mangrove forest ecosystem has an ecological function that is as a habitat for marine biota including macrozoobenthos. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of mangrove species, and their relationship to the abundance of macrozoobenthos in Pantai Clungup. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The type of research used was relationship analysis. The study was conducted by determining the research station based on vegetation density using the ArcGIS application. Then put up a transect with a size of 10x100 in which there are metric plots. Mangrove data collection uses 3 stations with total 9 plots. The results of the research were 16 species of mangrove consisting of 8 families. Macrozoobentos found there are 9 species and 4 class that are scattered in 3 observation stations. There was an influence of diversity on macrozoobenthos with a contribution of 76.0%. The correlation coefficient is positive. Using the t-test it can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between the diversity of mangroves with abundance of macrozoobenthos.
