- Maggot Black Soldier Fly or the Latin name Hermetia illucens (H. Illucens) is chosen as the alternative feed because it has high nutrients including proteins that play a big role in animal growth and development. The percentage of maggots nutritional content in general has a high protein value, which is 44.26% with fat content reaching 29.65%. The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of maggots Hermetia illucens on the ratio of the weight of Dumbo catfish (Clarias gariepinus). This type of research is the real experimental research with the experimental design of Pre Test-Post Test Control Group Design. The research draft uses non-factorial complete random draft (RAL). Combination feed given is catfish feed with combination of 85% plant feed and 15% maggots H. illucens, combination 80% plant feed and 20% maggots H. illucens, combination 75% plant feed and 25% maggots H. illucens, combination 70% plant feed and 30% maggots H. Illucens, a combination of 65% of plant feed and 35% maggots H. Illucens. The Data is obtained by calculating the weight difference of catfish before and after treatment. The data analysis techniques used in the study using ANOVA test one way and Duncan test. The results of the research on the feeding of the maggots Hermetia illucens can increase the weight of fish Clarias gariepinus. The most effective concentration in increasing the weight of fish Clarias gariepinus is concentration 65% plant feed and 35% maggot.
