  • The ability to creative thingking in junior high school students in Indonesia is still relatively low. The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in the creative thinking abilities of students who learn to use the CBL learning model with students who do not use the CBL learning model. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study using a quantitative approach carried out in January 2020. The subjects of this study were 2 grade VII students of junior high school state 14 Malang, 1 class CBL and 1 non-CBL class, each class totaling 28 students. The subjects used during the study were Natural Sciences in the even semester environment pollution material. Retrieval of data for students' creative thinking abilities using interview sheets, observation sheets, idea exploration sheets, and documentation. Idea discussion sheets are result to decide the level of students' creative thinking abilities. Simulation, variation, combination, transformation, and original creation. Analysis data using SPSS 17.0 with independent sample t-test. From the results obtained it is inference that there are differences in the creative thinking abilities of students who learn using the Conservation Based Learning (CBL) and students who do not use the Conservation Based Learning (CBL).
