- Riparian vegetation has an important role as a shelter for organisms, a place to look for food, and a place to breed. Therefore, riparian vegetation must be kept preserved to support the riparian functions themselves for other organisms such as dragonflies. Dragonflies themselves have an important role in an ecosystem, in addition to being predators of pests, dragonflies can also be used as clean water environment bioindiactors. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of riparian vegetation with dragonfly diversity in the Brantas river in Batu City. This type of research is "descriptive quantitative" using the technique "purposive sampling". The research methods include the observation stage, the preparation stage, and the physical data collection and dragonfly stage. This study consisted of 3 different stations, station 1 with many riparian vegetation diversity, station 2 with moderate riparian vegetation diversity, station 3 with slight riparian vegetation diversity. The results show that there is a relationship between riparian vegetation with dragonfly diversity and several factors that affect the value of the diversity index, uniformity, and dominance. The highest diversity of dragonflies and riparian vegetation at station 2 was found 3 species of dragonflies and 14 plant families.
