  • Farmers in Banyuwangi Regency have their own uniqueness to increase dragon fruit productivity, they use the help of light lamps at night. This has become an innovation for dragon fruit farmers in Banyuwangi. Analysis of Cost and Income of Dragon Fruits by Using Light and Conventional Irradiation in Purwoharjo District, Banyuwangi Regency. This study aims: 1) Knowing the comparison of the structure of production costs, income, and acceptance of dragon fruit that uses a system of lighting and conventional systems that do not use lighting at the age of 5 years. 2) Analyzing the difference in the level of efficiency of the dragon fruit that uses a light beam system and a conventional system at the age of 5 years. The results of this study are: 1) The total production cost of dragon fruit farming using lamps is Rp. 56,409,400 / Ha, not significantly different from the total production costs of conventional dragon fruit farming without lamps, amounting to Rp. 56,498,078 / ha. The income received by farmers using lamps amounting to Rp. 144,512,000 / ha differed significantly from the income received by conventional farmers without lamps, amounting to Rp. 116,505,000 / ha. The results of income obtained by farmers who use lamps amounting to Rp 88,102,600 / ha also differ significantly from the income obtained by conventional farmers without lights of Rp 60,006,922 / ha. 2) The level of efficiency of dragon fruit farming using lamps of 2.56 is significantly different from the level of efficiency of conventional dragon fruit farming without lights of 2.06. Both dragon fruit cultivation systems are feasible, but the cultivation system using lamps is more efficient than conventional cultivation systems without lights.
