  • Microcombustor is combustion of fuel on a micro scale with a scale of <1 mm and 1 mm>. This study aims to determine the effect of the model of the channel distance between butane and air on flammability and visualization of a flame. Meso-scale combustor with a 1mm diameter flame holder, quartz glass as a flame outlet and an evaporation section as a fuel mixing chamber. Model of channel spacing between fuel lines and butane is 1,5 mm; 2 mm and normal channel models. Combustion characteristics such as flammability limit and flame visualization of the three types of combustor show that the combustor type with channel model is able to increase reactant flow velocity. The high flow velocity is caused by the high reactant supply every second for high combustion, but the symmetry of the flammability graph is not due to the imperfect mixing of fuel and air, causing a sudden narrowing. Unlike the normal channel combustor type which has wide flammability due to good mixing between fuel and air. An imperfect fuel mixture will produce a bright blue flame color, and a less homogeneous mixture will produce a dark blue flame color.
