- In the 21st century, students competencies are expected to be able to fulfill 4 classifications, including: collaboration, critical thinking, communication, creativity. The ability to think critically is a competency that is very important to achieve and train because students can overcome, find and choose solutions precisely in the problems they face. Thus the need for a special approach to improve students' critical thinking skills, and on this occasion the authors chose the OIDDE learning model. This study aims to describe in detail the implementation of the OIDDE learning model in mathematics learning and describe the students' critical thinking skills in mathematics learning by using the OIDDE learning model. The approach used is quantitative and descriptive research type. The research subjects were students of class VII-B SMP Aisyiyah Boarding School Malang in the academic year 2019-2020 as many as 19 students. Data collection uses observation and tests, as well as interviews if needed. The research instrument used the observation instrument activities of teachers, students and test sheet instruments. The results of this study are mathematics learning with the OIDDE model able to do well and test results in general students are able to fill out the test sheet in accordance with the critical thinking indicators that have been made by researchers.
