- This study aims to analyze the effect of trade openness and technology on economic growth. The countries studied are countries in the ASEAN region that are classified in the middle assessment and the period used in 2004 - 2018. The proposed countries are Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam. The data analysis technique is using panel data regression. Regarding the economy as an independent variabel, trade openness is the dependent variabel and there are a number of supporting variabels : FDI, labor, and inflation. The information technology variabel as a variabel depends on the level of internet usage and the number of cell phone users. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive effect between trade openness on economic growth.
