- Watersprings are part of the catchment area (DTA). Dilem Village, located in Kepanjen District, Malang Regency has many water springs. Most sources are close to residential areas and are used for residents' needs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the catchment area as a support for water spring in Dilem Village, Kepanjen District, Malang Regency. The method used is the purpose sampling method which is carried out directly on the catchment area based on vegetation around the source, quantity and quality water and waste conditions. The analysis used in this research is comparative descriptive by comparing water samples with water quality parameters so that the current water conditions are obtained. After that, analyze vegetation and household waste conditions that are around the source. The results of this study indicate that the dominant vegetation around the spring is mahogany and bamboo. The greater the amount of vegetation, the greater the flow of water produced and vice versa. Based on water quality, spring 1 cannot be used as drinking water while spring 2 can be used as drinking water. There is domestic waste in the vicinity of the spring, both solid and liquid waste. Suggested action that can be taken is to clean rubbish around the springs and procure trash bins and plant trees that can preserve the existence of springs.
