  • Sugar factories that contain a lot of production waste that have not been maximally utilized and have been used with alternative fuels in the form of baggas pellets. UD Sari Taqwa which produces black grass jelly uses wood for the cooking process. Constraints that change this industry is the availability of wood is limited at a certain time, so the price of wood is expensive and requires little. This study discusses fatherly how to consume wood fuel with pellets in the process of grass jelly production. The fuel performance test used is the Water Biling Test method carried out on wood and pellets with varying amounts of fuel. Calculation of the amount of pellet fuel and wood used is based on the amount of water needed as much as 220 liters. From the results of combustion in cooking grass jelly using wood fuel with baggas pellet fuel, the results obtained pellet fuel produces combustion boiling time faster and more fuel efficient than using wood.
