- The aim of this study is to analyze the financial performance of automotive companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using the Du Pont analysis system method during 2014-2018. The Du Pont analysis system in this study was measured using ROE (return on equity) to determine the financial performance obtained from the multiplication of ROA (return on assets) and NPM (net profit margin). By using a time series approach that compares ROE from year to year and a cross section method that compares the ROE of each automotive company with the average ROE of the automotive sub-sector companies. Based on the results of time series analysis, it is known that the financial per-formance of automotive sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2018 period decreased because of the five companies, only two companies ex-perienced an increase, while three companies experienced a decline. Meanwhile, based on the results of cross section analysis, PT.Selamat Sempurna Tbk is an automotive sub sector company that has the best financial performance because it has the highest ROE compared to the average ROE of automotive companies.
