Some major diseases that can reduce the quality and quantity of banana plant production, include wilt disease (fusarium wilt and bacterial wilt), leaf spot (Black and Yellow Sigatoka), diseases that the University of North Sumatra is caused by viruses, especially banana dwarf virus (Banana Bunchy Top Virus / BBTV. The purpose of this study was to identify and isolate fungi that cause leaf spot disease on bananas. To determine the character of the fungus Mycosphaerella musicola which includes spore and colony forms. Furthermore, compared to the fourth edition of the book entitled "Illustrated Genra of Imperfect Fungi" (Barnet and Barry, 1999). Mycosphaerella musicola that mushrooms have hyphae that are insulated, elongated and branched conidia in the form of a blunt tip straight but slightly curved. Pale brown conidium, short and insulated 2- 3. Symptoms of these spots are almost the same as the symptoms of attacks from Yellow Sigatoka's disease. in (Figure 4D) shows the similarity to the colonies of the M. musicola fungus, which has a fine white color, with the lower surface having a slightly black color, while in Figure 5B which has a similar, tubular, straight, blunt tip and has a bulkhead of two.
