  • In fact, students in grade II at SDN Girimoyo 2 Malang still do not participate in learning well, because the media used by teachers to teach thematic learning in class is less attractive to students. So that students seem less active and the class becomes less conducive. From the results of the needs analysis obtained by researchers that students need learning media that are interesting, innovative, and can motivate students to learn in class. Therefore, this study aims to determine the process of making KATEMA (Koper Ajaib Tematik) media development products for Thematic Learning Class II Togetherness Theme in Elementary Schools. This research is a research and development or R&D. The model used for this research is the procedural model of ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, And Evaluation) developed by Dick and Carry (1996). The source of the data is 43 students of Class II of SDN Girimoyo 2 Malang. Data analysis techniques used are quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. The data analysis was obtained from the results of the validation of the material experts and instructional media experts, as well as the results of students and teacher responses to the KATEMA media. The results of KATEMA (Koper Ajaib Tematik) media research for thematic learning in grade II elementary school with the theme of Togetherness, subtheme 4, learning 6 with content in Mathematics, Indonesian Language, SBdP at SDN Girimoyo 2 Malang get good responses from students and make students become active in the classroom. Evidenced by the results of the validation of the learning material experts showed a percentage of 90%, and the validation results of the learning media experts showed a percentage of 97%. In addition, the results of the teacher response questionnaire showed a percentage of 97%, and the results of the student response questionnaire showed a percentage of 98%. This shows that the KATEMA media has very decent criteria, and is very interesting to use in the thematic learning process. Thus, the results of this study are to produce a product in the form of KATEMA (Koper Ajaib Tematik) media for thematic learning in grade II elementary school.
