- Sugarcane is included in the family Poaceae or group of grasses. Morphologically, sugar cane plants can be divided into several parts, namely stems, leaves, roots, and flowers. Sugar cane has been cultivated for thousands of years and has encouraged the emergence of the commercial sugar plantation industry since the 19th century. Sugar cane is widely planted in the tropics for the manufacture of sugar. Sugar cane is one of the important commodity crops that have high levels of crop resistance and economic value. The development of biofertilizers at this time in the world has been rapid. Various countries such as India, Thailand, Japan, China, Brazil, Taiwan and other developed countries have long shifted from chemical fertilizers to biological fertilizers. Biological fertilizer or also called biofertilizer is considered more useful both to plants and the environment. Benefits to plants because biofertilizer contains a number of microbes that are able to provide nutrients for plant needs, such as nitrogen, phosphate, potassium, and biohormones. Many arthropods have a very important role in the ecosystem. Arthropods are very important in ecology because of their number and extreme diversity. Land is a habitat that is usually always overflowed by various types of microbes and invertebrate animals, including surface insects. The purpose of this research is to know the comparison of soil arthropods in sugarcane plants, growth and yields that are given fertilizer package fertilizer recommendations. The study was conducted in the Karangploso Balittas Experimental Field, Malang and the Karangploso Balittas Entomology Laboratory, Malang for approximately 4 months. This study uses a simple randomized block design (RBD) with a combination of several fertilizer factors namely Crotalaria juncea, N and P fertilizers and biofertilizer using 8 treatments 3 replications. Every 1 repetition used 2 pitfall trap samples that had been given formalin solution. The results of the research carried out is that the provision of recommended fertilizer packages has no significant effect on plant height, number of tillers, and sugar content in sugarcane. But the highest average value is the highest plant height at P3, P5, P6 and the number of tillers at P1 and P5 while the highest sugar content at the top and carry is P5 and the middle part at P7. The highest number of arthropod populations was P4 and P7. While the highest families are Foramicidae and Gryllidae and the lowest is Raphidophoridae.
