  • The position of the drafter has a very large share because the main task of the drafter is to create an initial floor plan design that will be continued to engineering for further processing. Without the drafter the work owned by engineering cannot be carried out and completed. PT. Tatamulia Nusantara Indah Surabaya is one of the largest private contractors in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the effect of work experience and work ability on drafter performance with the aim to find out how much influence between work experience and work ability on drafter performance PT. Tatamulia Nusantara Indah Surabaya. This study uses an explanatory quantitative research design using respondents from PT. Tatamulia Nusantara Indah Surabaya as many as 50 people. This study uses multiple regression techniques as a data analysis tool. The results of this study indicate that work ability has the most dominant influence on drafter performance. Based on the work ability regression coefficient of 0.986, while 0.095 is the value of work experience. PT. Tatamulia Nusantara Indah Surabaya can improve the drafter's work experience by increasing communication with the drafter so that the company can discuss,, and exchange opinions about the tasks currently being carried out by the drafter. The company can also provide job training to improve the work capabilities of the drafter they have. To improve the performance of drafter, PT. Tatamulia Nusantara Indah Surabaya can give appreciation to drafter who has given a qualified performance to the company.
