- Oral presentation is verbal correspondence structure by utilizing certain correspondence ability so as to convey thoughts, messages, and data in front of the audiences. Oral presentation usually presented in Business English class at the ELED in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education for delivering materials that can be found in the teaching and learning process, such as explaining and understanding the advantages and disadvantages of tourism, and explaining the understanding of entrepreneurship. The aimed of this research are to know the most dominant oral presentation method and to know the reasons for choosing those methods used in oral presentation in BE class in ELED at UMM. To obtain information about the most dominant oral presentation method and to know the reasons for choosing those methods used in oral presentation in BE class in ELED at UMM , researchers used mixed-method research. First, the researcher makes questionnaire to the students whose taking BE course or the students that already finished BE course to find out about the method used and the students reason for choosing the method to facilitate their oral presentation. Then the researcher makes interview to the students to get deeper answers of their reason. The result revealed that among six students, three students (50%) employed extemporaneous speaking method, one student (16,7%) employed impromptu speaking method, two students (33,3%) employed speaking from a memory method, and none student (0%) employed speaking from a manuscript method. And they had their own reason to choose their method while doing an oral presentation activity. Therefore, they know the difficulties with every method and choose the method that suited them to make oral presentation activities better.
