- The study discusses Tiongkok efforts to become a hegemony in central Asia through SCO. Tiongkok as a country with the strongest economy plays a role in the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization). This study used the theory of stability of hegemony according to Charles P. Kindleberger explaining that countries with the strongest economic powers were able to provide the common good in the form of global stability. This theory aims to explain Tiongkok efforts to become a hegemony by balancing trade regimes and lending to central Asia by SCO. In addition, this type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach with data collection techniques using library reviews. The results of this study were the discovery of trade regimes in SCO in the form of agreements involving customs administration, technical regulations and agreements on trade liberalization established by China. In addition, the existence of lending to countries in the region of central Asia, the development of infrastructure and investment made by Tiongkok through SCO.
