  • This research data uses a qualitative approach with a type of case study approach, this type of case study was chosen because researchers want to describe in detail about contemporary phenomena in the realm of education. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as for data analysis techniques researchers use the theory of the Robert K. Yin model through three steps, namely pattern matching, data explanation, and time series analysis. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the program of strengthening character education (PPK) in SMK Negeri 2 Batu is mostly in accordance with the government PPK implementation model simulation. In addition, there are eight types of characters that are applied in State Vocational High Schools 2 stones with their respective interests namely, the value of religiosity, honesty, discipline, responsibility, respect for achievement, love of reading, caring for the environment, and social care. The application of various types of characters is based on educational needs in SMK Negeri 2 Batu. The benefits obtained by students in the program of strengthening character education are, students always grow the value of good character as a support for the process of self-development, increase learning motivation, foster reading habits, instill respect for God's creatures, build good communication in the social sphere with easy socializing behavior, and showing polite behavior to others.
