- This study aims to determine whether or not the effect of applying the make a match method on children's understanding of learning about angels in TPQ Al-Barkah Jakarta. In this study researchers used a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research. This study uses a pretest-posttest control group design which is part of true experimental design. The steps carried out in this study are before treatment, treatment and after treatment. The subjects in this study were students in Al-Barkah TPQ with a total of 40 people divided into two classes namely the control class and the experimental class. The control class is 19 people while the experimental class is 21 people, but the experimental class has 2 people who have not read a sentence fluently so that it is reduced to 19 children, so the number of children who are the subjects of the study is 38 children. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and giving questions about pre test and post test. The results of this study are that there is a significant influence between the use of the make a match method on children's understanding. This is evidenced by the increase in the value of students after treatment. In addition, based on the results of the t test, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 <significant level 0.05. In this study the researchers also saw that the class using the make a match method had a higher post test value than the class that only used conventional methods.
