  • In this age, there are a lot of language phenomena; one of them is code mixing. Code mixing occurs when more than two languages come out in the same utterance and it happens in bilingual societies. Social factors are the foremost aspect that persuades people to mix their language, not only social factors but the use of social media can affect the language produced as well. Those social media are Twitter, YouTube, etc. These days, people like to put their interest on YouTube. Not only entertaining but YouTube can be used as an interesting media for learning process because it presents audio-visual media. There are two research problems in this research; 1) what are the forms of code-mixing used by Gita Savitri Devi in “Beropini” videos?, 2) how are the forms of code-mixing introduced in listening class? This study also has two research objectives, they are; 1) to find the forms of code-mixing used by Gita Savitri Devi in “Beropini” videos, and 2) to introduce and analyze the forms of code-mixing in listening class. By way of qualitative research, this research was conducted. The researcher employed qualitative research because it was suitable for both research problems and research subjects of this study. The research subject of this study was Gita Savitri Devi. She is a YouTuber who frequently mixed her language in her videos on YouTube. The most suitable instruments for gathering data in this research were observation field note and document analysis. The findings have discovered that there are 138 code mixing utterances and two forms of code mixing found in “Beropini” videos from the first until the fifth episode. Those forms are insertion and alternation pattern. For the insertion pattern, there were 125 and 13 for the alternation patterns of code-mixing. While introducing code mixing in listening class, the students were pretty familiar with code mixing because they unintentionally often mix their language (Indonesian, English, and the local language) in their daily conversation.
