Daftar Isi:
- Potato productivity has always increased from 2013 to 2016, but the cropping area and potato production from 2015 to 2016 has diminished. From 2015 to 2016 the plantation area decreased by 0.80% and potato production decreased by 9.54%. If the land for potato cultivation and the quality of potato seedlings is increased, the potato productivity will increase more than the previous year. This study aims to study the growth response of potato cuttings (Solanum tuberosum L.) granola varieties produced by tissue culture to the administration of Radix up with different number of segments. The research carried out in this study was carried out in the green house of Sidomulyo Village, Bumiaji Subdistrict, Batu City, from August 2018 - October 2018. This study used factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor is Radix Up which consists of 4 levels, namely Z0 (control), Z1 (Radix Up 1), Z2 (Radix Up 2), and Z3 (Radix Up 3), the second factor is the number of segments consisting of 3 levels namely D1 (number of sections 1), D2 (number of segments 2), and D3 (number of segments 3). Observation variables include: when roots arise, plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter. The results showed that there was an interaction between the type of Radix Up and the number of segments on the growth of potato shoot cuttings when the roots appeared, but there was no interaction with other observation variables. The treatment of Z1D3 (Radix Up 1 and number of sections 3) gives the fastest average value, which is the mean when the root appears 4.33 days.
