  • This study aims to determine individual characteristics significantly influence job satisfaction, organizational characteristics have a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, individual characteristics have a significant positive effect on performance, organizational characteristics have a significant positive effect on performance, job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on performance, job satisfaction mediates the effect individual characteristics on performance, job satisfaction mediates the effect of organizational characteristics on performance at the Oil and Gas Tax Office. By using non-probability sampling data collection techniques in all parts of the population recorded administratively at the Oil and Gas Tax Office, which is expected to explain the phenomenon of factors that affect individual characteristics, organizational characteristics and job satisfaction on employee performance. From the results of the analysis concluded the individual characteristics of job satisfaction, individual characteristics of performance for, organizational characteristics of job satisfaction, and job satisfaction on performance, obtained positive inner weight coefficient which means significant and positive. But for organizational characteristics on performance, the inner coefficient value is negative, which means that it is significant and negative. For job satisfaction as an intervening variable shows that individual characteristics of performance and organizational characteristics of performance through intermediaries job satisfaction is significant
