- Larva of Hermetia Illucens utilization as a high protein woof was increasingly in demand. Larva of flies BSF was one of the alternative secure woof ingredients used as fish woof. Larva growth and development was strongly influenced by the substrate surroundings, larva s liked aroma of typical substrate then all substrate cannot be used as woof substrate. Protein was important to the growth of larva s in the formation of new cells. Therefore, when the larva s lack of protein in the woof ingredient, the larva growth will be restricted to support the cultivation of larva s. It was needed to know the best substrate for the growth and proliferation of larva s. The purposes of this study were to understand influence of substrate type and substrate weight variation on the growth of daily specific weight and the specific length on larva of flies Hermetia Illucens, and to find the most ive combinations of substrate type and weight variation on daily growth specific weights and lenght of fly larva Hermetia Illucens. The research design used in this study was quantitative design using completely randomized, with 2 ways of treating. The substrate type and weight variation were among others: coconut dregs, tofu dregs, chicken blood and fishery waste that each substrate had variations in weight 100g, 200g and 300g, 12 kinds of treatments with 3 repetitions to be obtained 36 samples in total. The result of this research was that any treatment given had different influences as well. each treatment had significant differences while the average of the lowest to highest result in a row of each treatment was found from the control, 100g, 200g, 300g of coconut dregs, 100g and 200g of chicken blood, 100g, 200g, 300g of tofu, and 100g, 200g and 300g of fishery waste. It proved that the 300g of fishery waste in this treatment was the the most ive combination in increasing the weight and length of daily specific Hermetia illucens larva .
