- Social criticism is the assessment, comparison, and disclosure of the current social condition of society. Along with technological developments, social criticism is currently expressed through social media, one of which is Twitter. As a content creator did during the 2019 Presidential Election Campaign, he created an @NKR_Internet account to express criticism of his unrest towards a campaign that was deemed unhealthy. But in the delivery, it is always packed with humor so that readers stay comfortable and entertained. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach to the content analysis research method and the research base is descriptive. The categories contained in this study include Social Criticism on Political Issues, Social Criticism on Economic Issues, Social Criticism on Social Issues, Social Criticism on Cultural Issues, Social Criticism on Religious Issues, Social Criticism on Legal Problems and Social Criticism on Military Issues. The unit of measurement used is the frequency of categorization appearing in 447 posts in the @NKR_Internet Twitter account upload from 24 December 2018 to 22 May 2019. The data collection technique is by collecting documentation (capture) every post on the @NKR_Interenet account from 24 December 2018 - May 22, 2019. The results of this study indicate that social criticism messages in Twitter accounts @NKR_Internet are 346 posts or 77.4%, while those who are not social critics are 101 posts or 22.6%. The message of Social Criticism has the results of the frequency of 43.4% containing social-political criticism, 22.5% of social criticism hanging social problems, 16.5% containing social-cultural criticism, 10.98% containing social-economic criticism, 3.5% containing social criticism law, 2.02% contains religious social criticism 1.15% contains military social criticism. So it can be concluded that the message of Social Criticism on the @NKR_Internet Twitter account with the political category has the highest gain of 43.4%, this is in line with the background of the making of the @NKR_Internet account, namely the unrest of account makers for the Election campaign which is considered to be unhealthy.
