- As a developing country, Indonesia has often faced with many major problems with it, one of the problem is Corruption. Corruption is the one of the problems that have been ingrained in the life of the nation especially in Indonesia. The government assumed that Corruption is the most problem of the country that difficult to eradicate. To eradicate the corruption it self, which is very difficult on its handling, so any special handling is needed also to deal with the corruption. There are many efforts have been made by the government to reduce the number of corruption in Indonesia. The one of the efforts that have been made by the government for increasing the public participation what is still really new to know to Indonesia people is the role of Justice Collaborator. This paper aims to find out and understand the legal arrangements regarding Justice Collaborators in Indonesia. And to find out how the legal protection will be received by the Defendant who obtained the determination as Justice Collaborator. The method of approach used by the author is juridical, namely by studying the literature both primary legal material in this case is Verdict Number: 32/Pid.Sus/TPK/2016/PN. Jkt. Pst and secondary legal material obtained from journal literature, books, expert opinions, and related legislation. In many developed countries in the world, for example, the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands the Justice Collaborator has been known by the public for a long time. In Indonesia when we talked about Justice Collaborator hence it is known as a criminal witness who collaborates with law enforcement officials to uncover a serious or organized crime. In this case, Defendant who obtained the designation as a Justice Collaborator was in fact able to dismantle the modus operandi of corruption, reveal who the main perpetrators, and able to know what things or money that became evidence in the corruption. This thing could be known in Verdict Number: 32/Pid.Sus/TPK/2016/PN. Jkt. Pst that seated Abdul Khoir as a defendant on the corruption case of bribery of 4 members of the DPR-RI Commission V.
