- Background: Breastfeeding is the ideal, unique and best food for a baby. The rate of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is very low. Exclusive breastfeeding coverage of Puskesmas Turen is still around 71,43 % and it is still below the target of 100 %. In Indonesia, the development of gross motor in Indonesian children is relatively low. Objective: This research was aimed to analyze the Correlation between Exclusive Brteastfeeding with Gross Motor Development for Children aged 6 to 24 Months in area of Puskesmas Turen. Research Method: The method used in this research was analytic observational research with cross sectional method and it used purposive sampling as technique of collecting samples. Samples taken in this research were 67 children aged 6- 24 months. Data is collected by conducting interviews with the child's guardian and the Denver II test to the child. The hypothesis test used is the Mann-Whitney test. Result: In the study, 35 samples received exclusive breastfeeding (52.2%) with 22 exclusive breastfeeding samples getting normal test results (62,9%) Through the Mann-Whitney test between Exclusive breastfeeding variables and gross motor development, the significance value of 0.01 is smaller than the alpha value of 0.05 so that the relationship between the two variables is significant. Conclusion: There was a significant correlation between exclusive breastfeeding and gross motor development of children aged 6-24 months in posyandu of Puskesmas Turen working area.
