  • Basically humans have the right for live properly, but not all humans get the same welfare. One of them is a person with a mental disability. As in general children, have the right to get services according to their needs. Mental disabilities have intellectual barriers but still have potential that can be developed in accordance with the capacity they have and according to their needs, therefore the social services provided are sought to meet their needs. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the process of social services for people with mental disabilities in St.Theresia Orphanages with the aim to describe the process of social social services for people with mental disabilities in St.Theresia Orphanages. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative approach, while the research subjects were the head of the institution and the management and social workers. While analyzing data with an interactive model. The results showed that the social service process for persons with disabilities in St.Theresia Orphanages included: Mapping about persons with disabilities, the initial approach stage (engagement, intake, contact, and contract), assessment of client needs, planning treatment, interventions, termination evaluation and referral . The suggestion in this study for the institution is to record the number and address of the client's parents and always contact the parents that they don’t lose contact and leave their children at the institution because this will be a problem in the social service process. While suggestions for the government are expected to disburse operational funds regularly every year to persons with disabilities in the St.Theresia Orphanage.
