- Background: Nephrolithiasis is solid crystals that build up in the kidneys that make renal metabolism disorders and can be one of the risk factors for AKI and CKD. Nephrolithiasis prevalence was about 15% of the global population, the recurrence level on men was 74-86% and 45-62% on women. Hibiscus sabdariffa l has anthocyanins and flavonoids that are capable to hamper the escalation of the creatinine level adequately. Purpose: To identify whether there was an influence of the extract of Rosella bud (Hibiscus sabdariffa l) on the levels of creatinine in male white mice (Rattus norvegicus strain wistar) kidney stone model. Method: Post-test only control group design. The samples used were 30 male white mice which were divided into 5 groups which are, group 1: negative control (fed only by woof and drink), group 2: positive control (induced only with 2,5% ethylene glycol and 2,5% ammonium chloride), group 3, 4, and 5 were induced with 2,5% ethylene glycol and 2,5% ammonium chloride and being induced by the extract of Rosella bud with multilevel dose, 125mg/kgW, 250mg/kgW, and 500mg/kgW. This research used One Way Annova Test. Results and Discussion: The result of using the One Way ANOVA was p= 0,3459 (p>0,05), which gives no changes that are worthy to note down. This was caused by the induced dose of 2,5% ethylene glycol and 2,5% ammonium chloride that didn't harm the kidney ephytel which didn’t increase the creatinine levels. The levels of negative creatinine control was higher than the positive one caused by over dehydrationa and exhausted. Conclusion: The Rosella buds (Hibiscus sabdariffa l) give no reaction to the levels of creatinine in male white mice (Rattus norvegicus strain wistar) kidney stone model.
