PERBANDINGAN TINGKAT STRES KERJA PERAWAT INSTALASI GAWAT DARIRAT (IGD) DAN PSYCHIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (PICU) DI RSJ DR RADJIMAN WEDIODININGRAT LAWANG

- Nurses have the potential to experience stress due to work. Stress level in nurses difference in each room, especially in the emergency room and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). DR. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang is the largest hospital in East Java and is the main referral hospital for psychiatric patients. Besides this hospital also provides non psychiatric service. Objective: To determine the comparison the work stress levels between emergency department nurses (IGD) and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) Nurses at Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Psychiatric Hospital Lawang. Method: Observational Analytic with Cross Sectional approach. Sampling technique used purposive sampling method with total sampling. The sample was 43 respondents consisting of emergency room nurses and PICU. The measuring of stress used OSI-R questionnaire that has been tested for validity. Research results: Based on statistical tests using the Chi-square test obtained ρ = 0.006; α = 0.05 so that (ρ <0.005) its mean (H1) is accepted and (Ho) is rejected. It can be concluded that there was significant difference work stress level between nurses in the Emergency Department (IGD) and Psychitaric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Psychiatric Hospital Lawang.Conclusion: There was difference work stress level between nurses in the Emergency Departement and PICU in Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Psychiatric Hospital Lawang. The srtress level score of emergency room nurses was higher than PICU nurses.
