- Background: Based on World Health Organization (WHO), global sales of e-cigarette are increasing every year. Electronic cigarette smoking prevalence in Indonesia was estimated to be 2,5% among the adults in 2015. According to a report from CDC in 2019 there has been an outbreak of electrically related lung disease that has occurred in several countries in the world. Electronic cigarette can also cause endothelial dysfunction and damage to blood vessels. Maximum oxygen consumption can be used as a parameter of the ability of the cardiovascular system and the respiratory system to transport oxygen. Objective: Analyze the relationship between e-cigarette smoking habits and maximum oxygen consumption (VO2Max) on vapers in X community of Malang City. Methods: Observational analytic with cross-sectional design. Using total sampling method. Data collection was performed by measuring VO2Max with the bleep test method which analyzed using Fisher's Exact Test. Result: The number of respondents in this study is 37 respondents. Most of them are categorized as heavy smokers (12-20 drips per day). Also the average of their maximum oxygen consumption rate is 26,82 ml/kg/minute which is categorized as very poor. The result of Fisher's Exact Test showed that there is a significant relationship (p<0.05) between e-cigarette smoking habits and maximum oxygen consumption (VO2Max) on vapers in X community of Malang City. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between e-cigarette smoking habits and maximum oxygen consumption (VO2Max) on vapers in X community of Malang City.
