- Roads are important infrastructure because they function to facilitate and support ground movement. One of them is Jalan Raya Surabaya Malang, which is used for liaison and support in the fields of trade, industry and tourism. The condition of Jalan Surabaya Surabaya today is that there are many cracked, potholes, and uneven surfaces caused by heavy vehicles. One effort that can be done to avoid more serious damage to the road is by repairing the road in accordance with the safety, security and comfort aspects of the rider. This study discusses the thickness of the flexible pavement and rigid pavement on the Surabaya Surabaya Highway with a 4-kilometer planned road length using the Bina Marga method with a 10- year plan life that will come along with calculating the budget plan from the calculation of the pavement thickness. From the calculation results it is known that the thickness of the flexible pavement layer is smaller than the thickness of the rigid pavement which is 5 cm while the rigid pavement is 17 cm. The cost needed to carry out the work of flexible buildings is Rp. 13,856,952,130.00 while rigid pavement obtained Rp. 30.800.272.500,00.
